Phulwari Ki Nal Sanctuary

On June 29th and 30th, 2024, we embarked on a thrilling two-day trek in the Aravalli mountains, a trip that promised adventure and tranquility in equal measure. Our journey began early, departing from Ahmedabad at 5 AM. The cool morning air and the anticipation of the trek ahead kept our spirits high. By 9 AM, we made our first stop for breakfast, a delightful spread that energized us for the day ahead. The food was delicious, setting a positive tone for the adventure that awaited us.

Our next destination was "Phulwari ki Nal," a serene and picturesque spot that served as the starting point of our trek. After a hearty lunch, we set off on our trek, eager to explore the natural beauty around us. The trail was dotted with ancient trees and massive stones, some of which were the source of waterfalls during the rainy season. The sight of these old trees and the natural formations was awe-inspiring, a testament to the timeless beauty of nature.

Two hours into our trek, we reached a pristine river. The clear, cool water invited us in, and we couldn’t resist the urge to take a dip. The natural water therapy was incredibly refreshing, providing much-needed relaxation after the strenuous trek. We spent two blissful hours in the river, swimming and enjoying the soothing effects of the water.

As evening approached, we gathered for dinner, sharing stories and laughter as we relished our meals. The highlight of the night was watching the ICC T20 World Cup match together. The excitement was palpable as we cheered for our team, and the joy of their victory added to the thrill of the evening. Watching the match in the midst of the forest, surrounded by nature, made the experience even more memorable.

The next morning, we woke up early, eager to continue our exploration. The air was fresh and invigorating as we set off on our trek again. Along the way, we observed local farmers preparing the soil for crop planting, a process that connected us to the land and its people. We also passed by old houses and mango trees, their ripe fruits hanging invitingly from the branches.

Once again, we took a break at the river, enjoying another refreshing bath. The natural setting and the cool water were revitalizing, preparing us for the final leg of our journey. After lunch, we headed to the Maniknath Temple. The weather was mystical, with fog and clouds enveloping the mountains, creating a scene straight out of a fairy tale. The combination of the cool air, the serene atmosphere, and the majestic mountains felt like a glimpse of heaven.

At the temple, we took darshan, finding peace and spiritual solace. We also explored the area, climbing onto a big rock to take pictures, capturing memories of this incredible journey. As the day drew to a close, we made our way back, stopping for dinner before boarding the bus. Exhausted from the day's activities, everyone quickly fell asleep, content and satisfied. We arrived back at Ahmedabad at midnight, tired but filled with unforgettable memories.

This trek through the Aravalli mountains was more than just an adventure; it was a journey into the heart of nature, a chance to reconnect with the natural world and with each other. Nature has a way of giving us what we need, whether it's peace, excitement, or inspiration, and this trip was a perfect example of that. The memories we created during these two days will stay with us forever, a testament to the beauty and wonder of the natural world.
